•  Now you need to burn your saved version of Ubuntu to a CD-R.
  • All you need is a simple 700 MB CD-R, which you can get packs of at any general merchandise store.
  • First, you need to download an open source software called InfraRecorder (you can find the link to this on the home page under sources)
  • On the left hand side of the web page, under the heading "Pages" select the link titled "downloads"
  • You then select the word "Download" on the line that says "Download version 0.44.1 for Windows 2000/XP/Vista."
  • You then come to a page that says Thank you for Downloading and a window will appear that will ask if you want to RUN or SAVE. Select the option that says SAVE and  save it to your desktop to run later.
  • After you have downloaded InfraRecorder you are going to run the program.
  • First double click the icon indicating the program.
  • When the program opens, select the "Actions" option on the tool bar located on the top of the page.
  • Then you select the the option that says "burn image"
  • You then find your file that you downloaded off of unbuntu.com and double click it.
  • A box will appear.  Make sure that all the options on the bottom are check marked except for the one that says "simulation"
  • You then proceed  by selecting "OK"
  • The program will now write the image to the CD.
